5: Arpeggio Settings

General Support -

  1. Threshold Slider

This threshold slider allows you to set the velocity value to where you have to exceed in order to trigger a chord or an arpeggio reset.

If the slider is all the way to the left, then every tap will trigger a chord or the first note of the arpeggio.

If the slider is all the way to the right, you can never trigger a chord or reset the arpeggio.

An indicator shows the input velocity mapped to this slider, giving a visual reference of where the user should set their threshold slider.

2. Trigger Chords Option

By default the trigger chord option is activated.

Trigger Chords = ON

When the velocity of the mogees exceeds the threshold value set by the threshold slider and the trigger chords option is activated, then all selected notes will play at the same time. The arpeggio is also reset at this moment, meaning the next hit below the threshold will be the second selected note of the arpeggio.

For example if there are three selected notes (A-B-C), you can create this combination: A-B-C-A-CHORD-B

Trigger Chords = OFF

If the option is de-activated and the velocity of the Mogees exceeds the threshold then the arpeggio resets and plays the Root note of the arpeggio rather than continuing onto the next note.

If only one note is selected, then only one note will be heard regardless of the Trigger Chords toggle state.

3. Arpeggio Style

Here the user can set the ‘style’ of the arpeggio. The style is the order in which the selected notes are played as the user iterates through an arpeggio. For example with Style ‘Up & Down’ and the notes 48, 50, and 52 selected, the sequence will be 48, 50 52, 50, 48…

Arpeggio

DOWN*

GFEDCBAG…

UP & DOWN

ABCDEFGFEDCBA...

RANDOM

Random - hard hit plays A

PINKY DOWN*

THUMB UP

*  for these arpeggio styles, whenever the user exceeds the threshold value, and chord mode is off, the note will not be the root note, but rather the highest selected note.
